Default 00' civic Si cams

Ok here's my deal.... I took off my cams and i completely forgot to mark one them to help me remember where to put them back. So im all confused. Is there a way to identify where the intake and exhaust cams go?

I thought the exhaust cam was notched for the distributor ( like a slot in the back of the cam)

Yes and fixed.

Now you know that the one with the notch for the distributor is the intake camshaft.

seriously, if you dont know which cam is the intake or exhaust, you should really NOT be taking the cams out in the first place, or trying to reinstall them for that matter. and like mcvtec said. the intake cam has a large staight through cut out for the distributor to go into. hope you know what your doing, dont want to be messing up when it comes to the cylinder head and the valvetrain.

pic for reference.

look at the picture above. the top one is the intake and the bottom is the exhaust. intake one is where the distributor goes into(on top of the motor by the IM). the exhaust one is below(by the header). also should place them like the picture. left to right. your cam gears bolt will go into the cams on the other side. gl man.
