hooking up vtec h22a
My friend has an H22A swap and he's running it on the H23 computer. We're trying to get the H22 computer hooked up, but we're having a problem hooking his vtec up. The wire needs to be ran from the solenoid (its just been cut really short from the swap) but we're not sure what else needs to be done to get it going.
Basically what I'm trying to ask is what all needs to be done to get vtec going?

You said your trying to get the ecu hooked up? Is the ecu in the car now? To get the vtec running, you will need to run 2 wires. One from the solenoid and one from the oil pressure switch. The 2 wires will have to be connected to the ecu. You will have to search to get the pin points on the ecu and there are several threads on this topic. What type of car is this motor sitting in? Alot of the preludes are "prewired" for vtec and the wires that you will need to tap into can be found in your engine bay.
my bad on not searching. i haven't logged in since the search was messed up and i was still thinking it was broke.
it's in a 92 Si. he has the h22 running on the h23 ecu. we're trying to get the h22 ecu he has hooked up.

Well, first you will need to get the ecu in the car and plugged in. But yeah, there are several threads on here that will explain the process. If u have any questions u can pm me. If i can help, i will be happy to.
