Default how do you keep your foglights from cracking?

ive gone through two sets of foglights already, now on my third set. i bought the car with a set on there, it cracked on me. bought a another set and i broke on me in a few months. now i bought a new set, havent put them on yet. ive bought some M3 clear bra and planning to put them over the lens. does this protect at all? or should i try a different clear bra? i dont want to crack another set. ill give up with fog lights if it breaks on me this time.

had a set of aftermarket units on the car for 12 years haven't broken one yet. My question is how low is your car and what do you keep hitting?

guaranteed way to make them not crack is to place them ON TOP of the car.

you can use a film like lamin-x. it's usually clear but you can get yellow or blue which will change the output color of light. the better the film quality, the better the protection and the better the color output

my car is not that low. maybe an inch to inch and a quarter drop. ive heard the oem fogs breaks just as easy. i guess its just my luck with it cracking. ill deff need to get some of the lamin-x stuff. i checked the site. they have precut film for the fogs but they dont state the thickness youre buying. so ill have to double check. the M3 clear bra i got is not as thick as lamin-x stuff.
