bump the boost up man....you'll be fine arround 300-375 as long as the motor is healthy...get some arps in those rods so you can rev higher (8000-8500) to take advantage of that vtec head.

yeah arps are the plan. it was still makin power but we decided not to go any farther than 7800 we only ran it that high once to see what it would make, he said it would make power up close to 8500.

old unfinished pic, when it warms up i am painting my charge pipes. will post more recent pics this weekend.

I would still keep 300whp as a maximum. Instead of using bolts here and there, just get ready to do the whole thing at once. Save time and effort in the long run. The actual usable power will start to taper off at about 7900rpms anyway, but feel free to rev the car to about 8400. That is the maximum range of the stock valvetrain for a GS-R head.

i am going to let it the way it is for a while if it lasts shifting at 7400, and do a little something on the side meanwhile.

thats g status! and ill tell you why... the stock eclipse blow off if im not mistaken lol... nice dude im about 90% done with my lsv-t right now.. this just gives me more motivation! those are the numbers that i was expecting with 7lbs.. so im gonna go for 10lbs only because of my gsr girdle and arp bolts/shot peened rods.

nice car though, i like it!

ive been told by a few that they recomment them as an insurance for the block but some also say might as well wait untill something brakes and go all out and build the block. i dont really feel like pulling the motor out and taking it apart just to put some arp rod bolts in. only plan on taking up to 7500rpm tops

You'll be fine on the stock rod bolts at that power level. No need to change. Those have been good like that since 97.

I think the rod bolt thing depends on who you talk to and what day i have been going to 8k for 6 months now autox events and drag racing like it was my job guess i been lucky but for $30 id say its worth it to go ahead and buy them.

I think PWM is in the future for this car. That should definitely wake it up a bit, maybe a new map sensor too.

what tb did you use? stock?

and also i was curious what you thought of the ls tranny as oppose to a vtec tranny obviously as far as the gear ratios are for turbo.... i notice a lot of people are using vtec trannys so i wanted your thoughts on that.
