Icon2 Passenger Side Airbag Removal

my passenger side airbag delete tray came in..
How do I safely remove the passenger side airbag
without it detonating and breaking my windshield?
I was told to remove the positive and negative terminals
from the battery and make sure they do not touch
one another or the battery..
then wait atleast 20 minutes then start the removal process..
I have never removed an airbag before.. so please help asap!!!

ok just wanted to inform you that if you disconnect your passenger side airbag the driver side one will not work. (this is what ive been told by people who have put the tray in so im just doing by word of mouth, dont hold it to me).

you only have to wait 3 minutes instead of 20 and you only have to disconnect the negative cable, make it easy on yourself, and do not let it touch the negative post or the airbag will deploy they are very sensitive. and all the aribag wires will be bright yellow cant miss them.

after disconnecting the battery you must remove the glove box and the access panel (not really hard but a pain in the ***) if you can take your seat out it will make life easier. after getting the glove box off there are 6 mounting nuts on the air bag. it should just lift out when you get those nuts off.
have a flash light ready to search for those nuts.
good luck and let me know how things went.
