My Bogart's measure 1.437 inches thick including the spacer at the lug holes. I know i need to get Shank type, flat seat lugs.
Could i get away with running a stock wheel stud and a lug with a shank of 1.379? If not, what sized lug should i run on 3" studs? Thanks for the help.

Well, I'm not really worried about spinning a stud in the hub. I have mine tack welded in from when i replaced the bearings just as a precaution.
Kit88...why did you switch over the the arp's? How long did you run on the stock studs?

I mean, the lugs im looking at would have thread on nearly the entire stud while stock ones might used 1/2-3/4's of the stud
5:2 WHEELS
Hubcaps must be removed for inspectors, who will check for loose
lugs, cracked wheels, worn or oversize lug holes, and condition of
spindles, axle nuts, cotter pins, etc. Snap-on hubcaps are prohibited
on any class car.
The use of “spinner” style wheels or any wheel design that incorporates movable pieces while vehicle is in motion or stationary are prohibited. Each car in competition must be equipped with automotive-type wheels with a
minimum 12 inches of diameter unless class requirements stipulate otherwise. The thread engagement on all wheelstuds to the lugnut must be equivalent to or greater than the diameter of the stud. Length of stud does not determine permissibility; length of the engagement between the stud and hex
portion of the lug determines permissibility. Maximum rim width on
any car: 16 inches. No rear-wheel discs or covers permitted in any
category.

I'm not questioning rules, I'm just having trouble interpreting this part:
Length of stud does not determine permissibility; length of the engagement between the stud and hex
portion of the lug determines permissibility

I'm not going to enter my car in any nhra events or anything. Just a test and tune every once in a while and some street use. Oh yeah, the rules also say snap-on type hub caps are not allowed. Most of the cars on the road today with hubcaps, are snap on type. lol
|And since we dont race on the streets we dont have to worry about "Snap on hub caps"..

The local track here checks your battery tie down, seat, seat belt, and sometimes makes you pop the trunk to make sure your not hiding nitrous.
with bogarts? yes. did we run them that day? no. there isnt enough thread engagement.
FWIW, my bogarts and dss 5.9 studs dont extend past the lug BUT the lugnut is about 1.5" in total length, and has threads the whole length.

The ones im looking to run are just shy of 1.5 inches length
FWIW save yourself the trouble and run the ext studs. I could understand questioning a $400-500 part but 2 sets of wheels studs may set you back about $80-90. Hate for you to get to the track and get turned away.

I think im just going to try and get a set of lenso's. SOMEONE BUY MY BOGARTS

Just get the studs. The lenso's will work without studs IF you don't have to space them. Once you put spacers you can forget it. I wasn't able to fit 24.5x8x13s without spacers on my EK.
Plus, the extended lug nuts up front make the car look more badass.
