Default B20Z into 94 integra LS ***STOCK*** What ECU to use

I have 94 LS with 157,xxx, want to swap a B20Z into it what is all I need for people who have done it. I hear the obd1 LS ecu makes the B20Z burn lean, but can i use it with a obd2 distributor "the motor is OBD2" and use a step down harness. I live in new york i dont care about smog tests just want it to run correct. This will be my daily driver and will be using a LS tranny. THIS CAR WILL BE BONE STOCK NO VTEC!!! ..... will only have bolt-on's i/h/e maybe. Don't post unless you swapped a b20z, not hating but i've heard swapping a b20b to b20z is total different for ecu's. I hear there's no problem as long as you use 94, ecu, 94 injectors, and step down harness with obd2 distributor.

ive got a 95 teg with a b20b and i use a ls ecu i/h/e also with a fpr to adjust the feul and my car runs fine

friend of mine has same setup in his hatch but he has a z rather than a b and his car runs fine as well maybe adding a fpr will help because when i didnt have one i had serious idling problems

Did you manually adjust the fpr untill the car idle'd right? If so what parts did you use to do the entire swap? and what kind of improvment did you notice right away comming from the LS( bottom end, top end, acceleration)...im using a LS tranny for highway. Theres no good info on swapping a b20 just about dropping a vtec head on it.

I swapped a b20b into my 2000 teg and it ran perfect on the ls obd2 ecu. You can definitely feel an increase in tq on the butt dyno. With the stock ls ecu i was getting 40mpg highway consistently on an automatic ls tranny. IMO if you could get a gsr/b16/itr tranny you will see a great improvement in acceleration. I'm not sure about the b20z+ls ecu combo, but I know the compression ratio is a little higher so you might want to run a grade higher fuel on the z.

you don't really need anything to do the swap. just get the motor swap you stock ls intake mani onto it use a aftermarket header use your stock ls dizzy with ls ecu. it will run fine. you can put a fpr on it n up the pressure a little but ive kinda noticed hondas run a little rich anyway so the jump from a 1.8 to a 2.0 shouldnt hurt ive seen people run on the stock ls ecu's tons of times n it was fine. your best bet though if your worried about it get ur ecu chipped n have it tuned

I also just swapped my JDM higher compression (9.6) which is equivalent to a B20z into my 97 Ls and I'm also still running the P75. Because my motor is JDM I'm not running the CKP sensor and I have a check for nothing else but that. Your car will probably run fine and I've also heard and please correct me if I'm wrong but that a 9.6 compression b20 will run richer on a USDM obd2 P75 especially if both intake and exhaust manifolds from an Ls are used.

What are you guys revving to with the b20z?, i want to rev to 7k like the LS, i hear it stops making power at 6700,but so does the LS. it has the same head, cams etc. with a higher c/r so 7k should be fine.

Use your OBD1 distributor, ECU, IM, TB, injectors, crank pulley, alternator, etc. Basically, you transfer all the components over from the b18b to the b20z and this will keep you OBD1. If you keep everything OBD1, then the OBD1 ECU will work fine but of course it will run a little bit lean. The best solution to this if you've installed I/H/E is to have your ECU chipped and street tuned for maximum fuel efficiency since you're going from a 1.8 to 2.0. If you don't install aftermarket I/H/E, then I wouldn't waste my money on the chip and street tune and just run the stock ECU.

The b20z can rev safely to the stock ls ecu rev limit. However, since I'm chipped i've taken mine up to 7500 rpm before. But I would recommend shifting at 7k because as you stated the power falls off at the high end ~6700 and it's not going to do any good past 7k.

You should be able to feel a notable amount of torque in the b20z. With a b20z in your 94 teg with I/H/E, it should put you into the low 15s quarter mile ~15.2. With a little weight reduction, you should dip into the high 14s. For a daily driver, you'll be loving the b20z!

I used to have a b20z eg loved it, but like the guy said above just use everything there is on your b18b it all works pefectly. with the ls in&ex manifold and ecu you would actually bump the stock 146hp(b20z) alittle bit too. I did notice my car was running lean, all you need is a fpr set at 48-52 psi imo!
