Sorry I dont have a pic available at the moment, but if I remember as long as the crank key is in there right, even when all the pulleys are on there is a gap of about 1/4" between the crankshaft end and the surface that the crank bolt sits on the harmonic balancer. I think they leave a slight gap there so that the bolt can be fully tightened down, without just bottoming out against the crank.

Just double check everything, put it back together, and see if all the belts and everything line up ok.

Wow well then something must not be in there right. You may have to take off the timing cover, balance shaft pulley, timing belt pulley, and carefully put it all back together again to know for sure!

Also make sure the crank key is in there right- the key has one side that is flat and another side that is rounded slightly at one end. The end that is rounded slightly should be faced down and the rounded side should face toward the oil pump for it to fit correctly.

if a belt is hitting the timing cover it sounds like the crank pulley is sitting in to far, did you forget to install or install backwards the washers that are on either side of the crank gear behind the timing cover?

Do you have a pic of the crank pulley you can get up on here for us to see?

When you reinstalled the crank pulley from whatever you were doing, did you not install the balancer belt drive pulley behind the crank pulley? which would play it inbetween the crank pulley and the timing belt drive pulley?

The harmonic balancer of the pulley might be coming apart (the outer ring separates from the inner part of the pulley). We see it often on Accords with high miles. If this is the case, you need to replace the pulley.
