Default Tach. Help

My question is fairly simple and straight forward, yet there can be lots of answers, some better than others. I recently spilled glue on the RPM gauge face. What can I use to get it off? Is there any sort of glue remover out there that won't strip the black paint on the face? I tried using a knife to cut it off but this glue is TOUGH. It's really annoying to look at is bothering me a lot. Thanks for any help guys!

WD-40? Are you serious? That is a lubricant by the way.

It's on the actual gauge face not the plastic cover. It's a long story but I removed them to get access underneath and had then snapped a few things, used some glue and some split on the gauge face. I know, random.

Yeah that's what I thought I just want to make sure it won't strip the paint.

WD-40 may do the job. I don't think it's strong enough to take off paint.
