Rhd ctr
Hey All I Just Bought A 1999 RHD CTR , And when the car was shipped to CA in July of 1999 the car was never registered, so it never got an american VIN, I have ALL PAPER WORK! All Japan Papers, Custom's Papers, Landing Papers, And CA DMV Papers. How hard is it regester this car in the star of MD??? Or did I waste My $$$ Or what type of Shady stuff can I do to get arround this??? If any one has any anwsers please help me out
um you may want to go down to your DMV and ask them but dont let on that you have the car just ask them what you would need to get the car registered like you want to get a JDM car imported. Then see what they say. If they say no possible way then your prob screwed and the person that sold it to you is laughing all the way to the bank. The US is cracking down on JDM imports now. AZ used to be easy as hell to do it in but now if you have one its a paperweight.
I don't know where you are in maryland (baltimore, bethesda?) but you better keep that **** outta sight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

uh because its an JDM vehicle and most likely the owner/owners weren't in a state that allowed JDM vehicles to be registered. Which some states i think, if they find out you have one illegally they take it from you and make you watch as its is crushed into a nice little cube of metal.

well heres a peice of USEFUL info, instead of everyone else here partially flaming lol...
chances are, your going to have to buy yourself a 1999 civic hatchback... you need to swap all visible vin plates, get the title to your regular 99 hatch changed to the same color as your ctr, then dispose of your regular 99 hatch and register your ctr using your other 99 civic title. thats really the only way to do it. trust me ive looked into this situation before cuz i was contemplating purchasing one....

*** that! part out a CTR? makes me wanna puke thinkin bout it!
if you can get it registered then put a crazy *** alarm on it and like 3 GPS systems. And lock that **** up in a ford or pontiac car cover with chains all around that bitch in 3 garages. Because as someone once said "owning a Type-R is like a dream, you wake up and its gone".
Or just give the CTR to me, i doubt they give a *** down here in florida, we dont even have emissions and ****, people can literally drive around stolen cars, and since they cant pop the hood, all you would need is to change 1 vin plate and it would be good. Which is pretty bad, and why I keep an eye on my **** at all times.
