Default 06+ sedan conversion to 09+ conversion

What up all, wanted to copy over a thread that i made over on 8thcivic. This is to answer all question for any1 looking to convert their 06+ sedan to the more aggressive 09+ front
enjoy

06+ sedan conversion to 09+ conversion:

To end all threads started about how to, or what is needed to convert your 06-08 front end to an 09; i have compiled a list of things that you will need along with part #'s. If I didn't list a particular part its b/c it is re-usable from your current bumper.

all part numbers where taken from Hondapartsdeals (which is where i bought all my parts)

Just for reference 06-08 + 09 FA's have the same head lights & fenders! (i.e. driver side fender part# 6026SNAA9zz)

Here are a list of parts for the grill:
Part # ------Illustration #----req. quantity-------name
4906931-------002-------------1--------MOLDING, FR. GRILLE
4908053-------005-------------1--------EMBLEM (H)
021093 -------008-------------2--------NUT, PUSH (3MM)
1084215-------007-------------2--------BOLT, BUMPER

Here is a list of parts for the Bumper:
Part # ------Illustration #----req. quantity-------name
4907368-------001-------------1--------FACE, FR. BUMPER (DOT)
4907289-------004-------------1--------GRILLE, FR. BUMPER CENTER
4907291-------006-------------1--------SPOILER, FR. BUMPER CENTER AIR
1784816-------035-------------6--------CLIP B, BUMPER
4907292-------007-------------1--------SPOILER, R. FR. BUMPER AIR
4907293-------008-------------1--------SPOILER, L. FR. BUMPER AIR

Whats missing: Left and right Grill inserts (couldn't find the part number but you can still order it. its #3 & 5 on the illustration which replaces the si fog lights)

You can expect this conversion to cost anywhere from $600-$1200 depending on where you buy the parts and who does the work.

Enjoy :thumb:

Not sure if I'm feeling the color matched grill yet...

Thanks. Did you just buy the grill without the Si badge?

I believe that is the only way you can buy it. I think the Si badge has to be purcahsed seperately, or taken off another car.

don't know about the 09's, but on the 06-08 the H and Si badges come with the grill.

Oh ok...thank you. I had seen a couple (06-08) replaced at a local shop and they didn't come with the emblem. Maybe it depends where you buy the bumper cover from.

To answer the emblem question yes every part of the conversion is ordered seperatly. grill does not include emblem nor screw.

Also price for conversion is in the post thanks
