is there any difference in between an edm vs a jdm ef sir/vti?

we have both in cyprus and for some odd reason the EDM's look soo much better im my opinion and I cant figure out why?

 

I *think* the edm had full leather seats and glass headlights versus the jdm sir with vinyl side bolsters and cloth middle and plastic head lights.

i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong :-)

 

your for sure right about the seats, dont know about the headlights though.

all I know is the first thing that catchs your eye is how cleaner the EDM looks vs the JDM!

The clusters are different, the gauges are arranged in a different order. Does the EDM have rear headrests?

 

The EDM's have glass headlights. The also use the H4 bulb. the rear seats have headrests. I have EDM rearseats and I like them better than the JDM ones. The color is a little different. I am still looking for the front EDM seats.

 

-Gauge cluster
-All leather seats
-Leather door panels
-Glass headlights
-Tallights have a fog light
-Different stock mags


That's all I can think of. Interior-wise I think the EDMs are nicer IMO.

 

Please show picture of rear headrest. I have never seen one EDM with rear headrests???

Sounds like they are talking about the Civic. Crx have no rear headrests.

seats both front and rear are grey-ish blue/charcoal fabric with red lines
rear headrests

The JDM CRX SiR had a full leather interior with red stitched door panels but also had versions with a half leather interior with the sides wrapped in leather and the mid section fabric with red stripes.

Add my 2 cents:

EDM parts....

-Clusters came in both KMS and MPH as the main numbers depending where it came from
- Headlights were glass and used H4 bulbs, came in both non and height adjustable beam
- ECU had no speed gov and ecu didn't have a knock sensor
- models came in both left and right hand drive for headlight and door pane/power window applications
- Seats were leather (they wore bad though), the door panels matched, i don't think they are leather though, just look like it, had red stitch in them
-No edm mirrors were power folding
- had option of different rear spoiler
- tranny was geared much taller
- car came with headlight on chime

but I have to say that some of the info given is questionable? this must be because there are differences from country to country for the edm line up?

the edm's here are all with out exception full leather and not the cheap kind, leather you would expect from a BENZ type leather! they are all with red trim too both on doors and bumpers? infact the only ones I have seen that dont have the red trims are the jdms? though it is for sure true that the edm vt did have 150 hp and a 240km cluster! maybe all these differences are because we have the right hand drive edm vt and vti's how knows! all I can say is they are much better looking in my opinion!
