what i needz for auto tranny flush
hey guys . time for a tranny flush for my 96 accord. sedan 4 cyl non V. how much quarts and which exact fluid do i need? thanks guys!
When I did mine, it took about almost 3 quarts of Honda ATF-Z1. 96 Accord.
Go for the ATF-Z1, only available from dealer. It may cost more than other ATF fluid, but you would love how it shifts. Smooth! Worth the money. Go for it!

I used Mobil 1's Dexron on my wife's 98 4cyl. It makes some wierd whining noise when in certain gears. IIRC it's when it's in park or neutral....then when I put it into D4, D3, 2 or 1 the noise goes away.
Then I put in Dexron II with the additive we have at work....I've done many Hondas with this fluid "set up" with no problems.
I do, however plan on switching back to ATF Z1 from Honda. My TL's due for a trans fluid exchange too...
