Hey all honda technicians,

I am going to do a K swap during the summer.
However, i just notice there will be a problem of my swap: Immobilizer.

Because of the USDM K20 ECU, it is come with the stock immobilizer,
so after i swap, my car will not start for sure.

So i am wonder do I have any other alternative; other then getting a expensive Kpro ecu or a rare JDM ecu?

Would it work if i just refresh the stock ecu with hondata reprogram?

u answered your own question.... kpro or jdm ecu... theres no other way at this point in time.

 

if you know someone at the dealer or have the vin and what not that matches the ECU you can get the immobilizer disabled at the dealer
