I got an OEM TSX HID retrofit for my 98 DC2 off ebay and it came with brand new 2004 TSX ballasts.

My dilemma is, I am trying to figure out which input on the ballast is hot and which is ground:

I 'got' the TSX Helms and figured out that they are positive switched, but the book doesn't have the plug wire orientations.
Does anyone know by chance which side is hot and which is ground. Is it safe to just guess and check with a battery, or will that fry the ballast if I guess wrong?

I don't really think the ballasts themselves are "switched" per se... The headlight switch on the stalk is the switch, and that completes the circuit to send current through the ballast. If you hook up the ballast straight to the battery, it will power up with no other switch controls.
As for which is positive and which is negative, I have no idea. I can't say I've even seen a TSX ballast before. I'm sure the folks on HID Planet have had plenty of experience and can tell you how to hook it up.
