Turbo my LS or buy a RSX Type-S
right now i have a LS automatic teg, with a Cai, cat-back exhaust, some cams, pulleys, cam gears, and injector's. I don't know if turboing my Ls is really worth it because its an automatic. Does anybody have a turbo on a auto teg? if so what are your 14/mile times and how much boost are you running. the only reason im considering buying a rsx is because i want a 5-speed, yet i still love the 3rd gen integra especially because of the idea of installiong a JDM front, and it's almost impossible to find a GSR or Type-R for sale at a dealer.
Does anyone have any insight on this.

turbo would be the best bet.. but since you have an automatic.. its really your call. if you dont plan on doin a conversion... its not worth puttin the turbo on. get a rsx.

this aint the classified section.
Don't throw money into a car your not sure of. If I were you, I would get the S. A FI auto would only make you a little faster that a type s and wouldn't be worth jack compared to a fresh RSX in a consumer's eyes.

A stock Civic EX Coupe (97 or so) will beat an Automatic Integra LS. The amount of power you are losing to the wheels, and overall weakness of the tranny is unbelivable. If you like the integra, Sell your car and get a 5-spd integra. It's not worth doing the swap.

UHHHHH..........................WRONG! No civic has ever taken ME~! I am stock and also an automatic. I burn 5 speed civics all day long! Integra's are the ****... Also...i was quoted 1500.00 for the complete change over, that i was gonna do this weekend.BUT...decided to buy another car and sell mine instead.
Back on topic. Its a tough call, I don't have track times worth providing right now and won't have them till I get my injectors installed next week... I still have the stock automatic tranny with NO work done to it pushing 7psi on a big t3/t4e .63 turbine making a sick power surge (no dyno yet either).... I gotta say its hella fun and the auto is taking it no problem so far 4 months into the dark side, its really your call... I plan on doing a swap if I can get the money which'll cost around $2500 with whatever clutch I want.
I wouldn't plan on going turbo on a stock auto and plan on keeping the auto for more then a few years if that depending on how bad you drive your car (beating it wise).
But I must say the auto is taking the power alot better then I ever thought it would, if you have any questions feel free to pm me or the two other boosted auto guys on here, one with a 95 teg and the other with a civic.
hey civics can beat me. i lost a couple HB si's, but i don't think i will lose to a non si's. i have an auto LS and a stock GSR. its fun driving the GSR but it sucks when i'm in traffic. there are a couple of choices, #'s of peple on this board has turbo autos. ask around. if you don't mind driving stick in traffic i would get a GSR and then throw a turbo into it, i would not buy a new rsx. there are so many other new cars coming out, get one of those instead of RSX

Yea I dunno what the guy is talking about either, I never had a civic beat me EVER and I've raced at least 5 or 6 of them and this is WELL before turbo or any engine work for that matter.... get your facts straight before assuming.

5 speed civics are quick. they will keep up with my 5 speed gutted RS hatch until 3rd gear. you do not "beat them all day." i have been beaten by a stock civic 5 spd. with no interior and no air filter, and i drive a manual RS.
if you want a turbo integra, sell your POS automatic and buy a manual, then do the turbo. you will save money geting a manual, and the car wil lactually have resale value when it's time to sell. no one would buy an integra which was converted from auto to manual. NO ONE.

Let's just make it fair and say auto integras would burn auto civics all day long.
If you want to save money, I'd say turbo your LS after a swap. A Type S would run you into 20G's easily. And since you really like the body style of LS, why not just keep it?

Face it. A good driver in a 5spd civic will beat you! Need I remind you that you ran a 15.9 WITH TURBO? Pathetic.
