will a 96-99 Ls motor pass smog on a 93 integra?
ok my gf's 93 integra gs 4 door have a slight leak head gasket and is burning oil so we are planning to change the long block out. my question is will it pass smog with a 96-99 jdm integra LS long block swap and still using all the old components (transmission, intake manifold, header, all sensors, etc.) from my old motor? by the way the car is an automatic.
no one no? oh yeah by the way i live in california and i am not sure because 93 is obd1 and 96-99 is ob2 i think
Is this a trick question or something?
I'm sure you'd have a easier time passing smog with a 96+ engine over using the broken down 93 engine you got now.
When you use all of your old components on your new engine, the engine now becomes OBD1.
You should be good to go.
