Well i tried upgrading my MC from my stock 13/16" master cylinder to a 1" that came off my buddies type r. I read everywhere that it would bolt up to my EKs stock BB so i was really surprised when it didn't. The hard lines do match up to the MC quite nicely but the MC doesnt bolt up to the BB. Heres the pics:
Here they are next to each other. Observe as how the 1" has that piston looking thing sticking out while the other does not

Inside view of the 13/16 from my EK

Inside view of the 1" from the ITR

And here is the brake booster.

And just in case a previous owner had changed it with something else, i went to autozone to take a look at another BB of an EK and it didnt work out either. Maybe I have the wrong MC or BB?? Can anyone help? I want to drive my car again...

does the "piston looking thing" just pull out? I have a type r master cylinder on my ek that bolted straight to the stock booster. The master I used didn't have that rod sticking out.

No, the rod did not pull out... I just gave up on it and got my money back off my buddy.

According to one of my local shops that MC only comes in the older type r's so i guess they changed to the one i need afterwards...
Can anyone post up a pic of the MC i need for reference??

Needs to be a 98-01 integra for the master cylinder to work. I'm using one. Bolted up with no problems whatsoever.
I also have an extra 1" MC that bolts to the EK booster. It is used, not new like the one in the pic. PM me if interested.
Here is a pic from when I did my install. Notice it doesn't have a rod...

You really want to use the 98-01 integra booster to go with it. I'm in the process of swapping out my ex booster for the integra booster. Apparently the rod does not go out as far on all of the boosters.
You will also need the pushrod clearance adjuster tool...
