If I swap a stock b16a in my hatch will it pass smog in cali assuming its a clean motor?

 

No, your have to make it function and look just like a delsol and get it barred and has to be obd1 pass inspection pass smog and have all the right stuff, stock exhaust intake mani and exhaust mani and intake, from del sol, or carb legal.

it's really simple.

contact a referee, set up a schedule to talk to them. explain what you're trying to accomplish and they will tell you what you need to do.

there has been lots of documented engine swaps in CA. all you need to do is go about it the legal way and get your referee label
