Default blocking off oneside of a scroll?

just hypothetically if someone wanted to do this, how exactly would someone block off one of the scrolls on the turbine? Also, if the original a/r was 1.22 would it cut it in half to about a .63 a/r if you blocked oneside?

What's the point of buying a twin scroll if you're going to block off one side? I see no reasoning behind this.

i see alot of mustang guys do this, because they usually use semi truck turbos for a HMT kit and the exhaust sides are huge and they block oneside to increase spool.
