trying to change my axle and for the life of me the bolt on the bottom of the fork will not come out. Anybody else had any problems with this?

 

the axle should be able to come out thru the fork with out removing. try it i usually spray some silicon spray on the inboard boot and slide it out with no hang up's

 

might need two wrenches?

did the nut come off and the bolt itself is stuck?

hammer?

 

Like this guy said, the fork doesn't need to come out.

17mm nut on lower ball joint
36mm axle nut

Remove ball joint from control arm.
Remove axle from hub.
Remove axle from transmission and/or halfshaft.
Move knuckle over and pull axle out through the fork.

Shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes if using hand tools or 10 minutes if using air tools.
