Default Factory Premium Audio Problem...?

Heres whats up..

I turned my radio on and came to realize that my front left driver side speaker was "blown".. I thought it was blown so i took it to a friend of mine that knows more about this than I do. We fooled around it by putting the settings to F9 (front all the way)...and then we moved it from left all the way and right all the way. The left speaker and tweeter seem to be screwed bad..(i think its just the speaker). But, as i said, the right speaker works fine when the setting is all the way front right, but when you start to move the dial to put more power to the left speaker, the right speaker starts to "crackle"..and the further you go, the more the crackle...which seems to be ODD. This madde my buddy think into it and he thinks that there could be a headunit problem. Any one else encounter this?

or is it just blown?

and what do i do...? Just replace the left side?

I had a similar problem. I took it back to the dealer to get it looked at and they said they fixed it. 2 seconds down the road, I turned it up to about 17-18 with a CD in there and it was doing the same thing. I think its because the material used in the door is crap and it just rattles. I keep some rolled up gloves in the side pocket which seams to help the rattle a bit.

Sounds like you might be hearing the same thing I was.

remove your door pannel ans push on the speaker. if it feels rough its blown. or you can tap the speaker and test it using a different source for music. i used to test speakers by tapping them into a computer speaker i gutted out. best way for me to tell if its blown or not. that way you can tell if it is the speaker of the headunit.

but first take it to the dealership. if THAT fails. get a pair of from speakers. components preferably

well, i let my car sit outside after i was mad about the speaker. It was pretty cold...low 50's or high 40's. After I thought it was blown, I cranked the car up and tried the speakers and the left one worked just fine!! This blew my mind.

Its not normal for it to go out and then just randomly come back...?

Any feedback?

Not normal. Maybe I trip back might be in store, you should wait until the next required service though IMO. Doesn't sound major.
