i just got these new megan racing headers for my 2000 civic ex(d16y8). i wanted to know (how to install the headers) if i could do it myself, or should i take it to a shop?

 

You can do it yourself with basic tools, 1 jackstand, and 1 jack. You might run into a small issue getting the o2 sensor out, but as long as you can get that out, without jacking up the sensor, you will be alright. And get some pbBlaster, or wd40 if you live up north. Good luck.

Never head of liquid wrench but you can give it a shot. In some situatuions the o2 will be mounted in a different spot with the aftermarket header as opposed to the stock location, also getting it out of the header with a wrech is sometimes not as easy as it sounds. Correction?
Yes!
Extend the o2 wires, dont cheap on the solder(sp?) and heatshrink.
Buy a o2 sensor socket.
You are ready to go....not much faster than you were stock but now you have under-hood-eye-candy.
