where is my fuel filter
i have a 1999 honda accord 2.0l vtec with the european f20b6 engine in it, i have been trying to locate my fuel filter for changing purposes but i as yet havent managed to find it is. I did manage to find something that says its a bag filter connected on the fuel pump itself or its under the master cylinder on the bulk head or its on the passenger side bulk head i cant see anything ont he bulk head that is easily identifiable as a fuel filter so wondered if anyone had a definitive answer of where it would be located many thanks -
I don't know if it's any different between american and european. But it should be on the passenger side behind the engine, up against the firewall. On american cars, it's a royal pain to get to. You have to get to it from underneith the car.

Most likely accessable thru an access cover in the forward trunk.
Again, this is for the USDM example.
What's throwing everyone off is the F20b6 reference. Is this a USDM chassis with a EDM engine?

its a european spec car built for the european market hence the f20b6 engine (which is the sohc version of the f20b jap engine 200bhp) which pushes 150bhp so the question is just going to lie with where they stuck it on the european version mmmmmm may have to investigate elsewhere cheers guys
I believe P Adams has quite possibly hit the nail on the head, I have a 2000 CL1 Accord Euro R and the fuel filter is an in tank setup. Access to it is under the rear seat / forward trunk area.
I would emagine the European / Japanese models to be fairly similar as the closest car to mine is the European Type R Accord.

yay i found it i have added a pic so people can see where it is it is just forward of the fuel tank in the alcove under the metal cover however i am curious as to what th other item is down there the round bit to the right of the piccy with the black pipes coming from it and the round metal cover any one know?
It's an emissions thing. It takes the fuel vapors from your fuel tank and routs them up into the intake manifold to be burned with the regular AFR.
