Default rsx type-s swap into a 02 civic.

Has anyone been able to swap the rsx type-s engine into the 02 civic? If it is possible yet about how much would it cost? Also would it be worth it to do that swap?

go to http://www.2k1civic.com and search for k20 swap, the user's name is HTown, he finished it a few weeks ago. He paid around $10k for it, but Import Builders (company in Cali that did the swap) said they got the sh*t end of that and it will be closer to 12.5k-13k next time. Just wait until the turbo kit comes out at christmas.

If I had a 02 Civic and $10,000 (and wanted K20 power), I think I would just trade in/make a $10,000 down payment and just buy an RSX Type-S.

might as well spring and get the k20 R motor, why settle for less
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the proper naming of the Integra Type-R block would be the K20A. Not the K20 R

Although you are technically correct, what our happy reader is referring to is the JDM K20 spec R motor (which I don't believe carries the A suffix). Technically speaking though, if you call it the K20A (and use the suffix), you must use the proper USDM term "RSX", not integra.

Silly man.

I'll give you the K20 without an A but I'd once again have to disagree with you. You see seeing as how we are refferring to the K20(Type-R) I am in my right to call it the Integra Type-R as that is the naming of that wonderful automobile in Japan. The only country where the K20 Type-R block is available from the factory. The RSX for all intents and purposes has had the same fate placed upon it as the Del Sol. Most likely a new name so as to back away from the Integra name for possible insurance reasons. I'm not stating that thats is the case it just seems like the most logical explanation, looking at Honda's track history.

Oh and all the homos that are saying you should have bought an RSX. Tell me this. Would you ever sell your B series civic and just by an Integra cause it comes with the motor already...................didnt think so.

****... a BRAND NEW car, plus another 10 for the swap? No, you shouldn't have bought the RSX, you should have bought a WRX or something along those lines. I know some want to be different, but this is nothing more than a waste of money...

I did not get those numbers right. Here are the right ones:

k20a3 rsx,civic si
k20a2 rsx-s
your definitely right your codes were real messed up the first time. K20A4 is not the Type R.
