I am doing a front bumper swap from my 91 civic si hatch to a 5th gen because 1. the 4th gen fronts look like Jay Leno got cosmetic surgery done to his already steroid using chin, and 2. there's only like 1 or 2 actually good lookin kits for the 4th gen hatches, so i want to use a 5th gen body kit instead of a 4th gen. Wasn't sure if the 5th gen convert is even needed cuz i wasnt sure if the dimensions and measurements were different or not. I know I could search the net but i would rather ask someone who is a true genious at this type of stuff. I aint tryin to listen to someone who thinks they know how to do it....i need to hear from someone that knows how to do it.

 

Come on!!! Somone has to know how to do this! Or even give me a link that can show me how to do this. It can't be that hard. I just don't want to mess up.

 

Its not going to look good. The EG is more round than the EF. It will look funny IMO.

 

your not going to get much support about body kits here. most prople on HT like or go for the OEM look, and like to flame on kits.
the kit probably wont fit without modifications. buy an OEM lip and use the rest of the money for some uber rare JDM'ness. or you can try cardomain.com if you just have to have that kit on your car. GL either way.

 

Ok...thanks for your insight. wasnt sure if i should do it or not. thats why i needed to get someone else veiw on the idea. i appreciate it tho cuz i dont want to do anything i would regret! i found my 91 civic si hatch in an alley way a couple years ago an ive been workin on it a little at a time but now i have the time an money to actually be dedicated to this project. i bought the civic for 100 bucks, and its got HUGE potential!!!

 

good buy i guess. hell any car that is in running condition is worth 100 bucks. lol. but yeah, body kits? bad idea.
