alright im wanting to swap my d series for an h22 but i dont know exactly what needs to be done. what parts will i need and/or what modifications would i need to do to my engine bay if any? any help is appriciated. thanks

 

idk the answer, but to help your search out, it'll be mostly the same as swapping an h22 into an EG

 

The left side of the engine bay has to be pushed in since the motor dosent clear. The hood has to be lifted alot since the valve cover wont clear the engine bay. Custom shift linkage since its going into a del sol.

Thats all that I know.

 

Assuming the swap will be like an eg swap then:
You need to get some motor mounts for the H22 Hasport or Avid mounts (i went with Avid) since you dont have to cut off the stock mount so there is some hope to going to a B or D again.
You can run the basic cable shift linkage no problem youll just have to cut a hole in your floor to run the cables.
As far as clearance goes, i dont have a problem with the hood closing not did i have to do any modifying to the engine bay for it to fit. Its an almost tight fit but there room to do some work. Only thing i had to do was relocate the fuel filter. This is on an eg though but i assume there isnt much engine bay differences but could be wrong.
