It's actually more simple than that, how about you post a price you think is fair?
You probably won't sell it because you don't have a price posted and people don't want to deal with "Offering" you.

thanks for the advice, but i've been here long enough to know that no matter what you put for an asking price, no matter how reasonable, people will always try to lowball you. so i prefer to deal with people who are serious enough about buying something that they will come to me with a reasonable offer.

and incidentally, i have already had 4 of those.

Wow, apparently this seller is an ***... I offered $300 shipped which may be a little low, but seeing as how there was no set price, I didn't want to overshoot his HIDDEN asking price and screw myself. I got a nice reply insisting that I go "**** myself in the *** with a hammer." I don't know why because I did just what he asked; I made an offer. You could have just said, "sorry too low man," and made a counter offer but instead you insisted on being a total douche bag. I hope you take your own advice and go "**** yourself with a hammer." Thanks for nothing you ******* Jerk.

I honestly find it hard to believe this conversation even took place...

In all seriousness I understand not wanting to post a price because someone MIGHT be willing to offer More than you had originally intended on getting for your parts - I Get It.

But if you are going to insist that people make offers with NO Guideline of what you paid, or suggested value of the item - I feel that you have No Excuse for being a F*CKING Douche Bag to a Somewhat REASONABLE Offer.

He didn't offer you his old VCR with VHS tapes, a set of 4 steelies with no tires, and 20 packs of Ramen Noodles ... He Offered $300.00 which you could've alteast counter offered, or simply said NO.

The reason I'm posting my thoughts on your For Sale thread is simple. After seeing how you react to a reasonable offer makes me or anyone else Not Even Want To Make An Offer !!

But in any case - Congratulations !! You are Officially Residual Douche Waste!!

clearly, it was not even close to a reasonable offer. actually it is about HALF of what i have already been offered by a few people. i'm not in any rush to sell these pieces, as they are extremely rare and will continue to become more so in the future. that being said, any insulting/joke/non-serious offer warrants an equally insulting/joke/non-serious response from me. its only fair, right?

No, because you sir are an idiot.
If you don't want to post a price where people can negotiate with you post it on ebay.
If i walk into a store and they don't have a listed price on something, and i go ask someone how much it is they respond with give me an offer... Obviously i don't know what it's worth so I give them an offer which i think is fair and they respond with a personal insult obviously i won't buy from them..
So i hope you don't sell these pieces of **** for being such an *******.

Err, seriously, what the eff does it matter?

I've done this in the past with very rare and desirable pieces, I said "offer me what you're prepared to pay". Nobody else got sand in their vagina, they offered me what they were prepared to pay and I sold it to the highest offer after a week.

I love the way you pair of haters have been on this forum for all of 5mins, and are giving abuse to an OG FROM 2001 and respected forum veteran in the ITR community.

Go hate and speak your dross somewhere else.

First off, thanks to Snail Power for having my back and second, I have actually found a set for close to $400 with all mounting brackets intact as well. Seriously now, if you are going to put something like " Make an offer" and have no guidelines...then what do you expect? I offered and you responded in an offending way, which was totally uncalled for,
and just because I am new to this forum doesn't mean I am new to the scene. I'm really not here to call you names and make correct accusations pertaining to your douche-baggary. I just wanted to let the future buyer know what kind of person they purchasing from.

Good luck with your sale and good day.

You idiot, read through the whole thread.
This isn't about trying to sell something by posting give me offers...
This is about the seller being a complete and total jackass to the people who are legitimately offering the seller what they think it's worth.
One more thing, who cares if he is a veteran of anything, or join date. There is plently people who know more and are more well respected than this jackass who have joined later than he has. Being respected also means you are respectful, and the seller is not. So good day to you!

So i hope you don't sell these pieces of **** for being such an *******.

people that are serious enough about buying rare items (such as these) are also very aware of what they are worth and what they would be willing to pay to obtain said items. as i stated earlier, i am NOT in any rush to sell them. certainly, not in enough rush to bargain with some kid who is trying to lowball me. but someone that wants and appreciates a rare part, will be prepared to pay for it and not try to nickel and dime.

well, it was actually just me being a smartass, as a JOKE. but what the dick-hurt individual failed to include was the big smiley face after my comment about inserting a hammer into his anus.

this is all too comical. this is why i love the internet.

LMAO !! !! !!

Thank you to the proper people for understanding where I was coming from. I'm not usually one to name call on the forums, but I felt the OP would most clearly see my stand-point if I were more abrasive.

To the OP:

You can't lowball something that has No Declared Value. Plain & Simple.

Good Luck with the sale - Ha!!
