there very easy to build and cost like $10 , if all u want is like an autometer type air fuel monitor, u can build one with like 10 electrical components and a 10 led bar. Try http://www.google.com

The WB_O2 is a little more involved

Couldn't you just make one with some LED's and resistors so that it measures the voltage? It's just a matter of measuring the voltage from an O2 sensor, right? Which O2 sensor do you tap into? I'm thinking about making a simple A/F meter for my car, since I've been wondering how it's running.

What's the difference between a regular A/F meter and a wideband O2?

yea, thats all it is, a volt meter, but its the matter of being able to design one

widband is more accurate and it needs its own diver circuit, u cant just measure the voltage from it. its pretty complex.

Cool. Care to post the schematics too? I'm anxious to see how you made yours. I was thinking about a simple volt meter using different colored LED's and resistors. The only thing I don't like about that idea is that more than just one LED would be lit. I'm tempted to go with a more complicated idea, but that'd probably just turn into another half-finished project and I have plenty of those already.
