Default First build GSR N/A

first build, first swap...
been thinking
i have a 93 ej1
black, coupe
its going to be a daily driver
want to keep the cost fairly low nothing too big, no budget yet
i can get a complete GSR for $3400 cnd but i figure thats too much and will look for a cheaper one

want 15, or 16" bronze rims
probably, work or volk not sure
full coilvers(skunk 2 or tein or amr)
type-r seats
type-r shift ****(for kicks)
GSR motor
headers(not sure on brand yet)
catback exhaust(not sure on brand yet)
cold air intake
8000k HID's
and maybe an s200 hondata map

nothing too fancy
again, its a daily and i dont need boost
what do you guys think, decent for a noob?

i am looking to make 155-160whp with a pretty well stock GSR with minor mods as stated, is this achieveable?

what else do you recommend

Ugh... this thread hurts my brain. You are saying that $3400 is too much for a full GSR swap, yet you want VOLK wheels? Good luck affording that...

Seriously? Am I reading that right? Do you actually think with I/H/E and s200 he can make 200 whp? No YOU sir are the "noob". And BTW, who even uses that word anymore? You know what, I'll make you a liitle deal. You post me a dyno graph of a stock GSR with the mods he described making atleast 200whp and I will leave this site forever.

really a gsr makes 200 at the wheels with a couple of bolt-ons? when it barely makes 175hp at the crank stock?

maybe 5, but WORK wheels are expensive as well. Good luck finding a set under a grand just for the wheels.

if i were you i'd just buy a longblock from hmo... and buy all the other parts separate! thats what i did. i bought everything off craigslist cheap and everything worked fine. i was even able to score a skunk2 manifold brand new in box with an lsd tranny for 350. i couldnt ask for anything better. alot of people when they build their cars they try to get the most horsepower they can. it's all based in numbers. (hp + tq) but i came to realize you must drive it. people spend insane amounts of money just to get that extra 2 -3 hp. do you have any friends with a gsr swap? drive it first see how it feels? B18C1s are pretty fast daily drivers, i think you'll be pleased with simple bolt ons!
