Dirty Spark Plug QUESTION EM1
hey guys today i decided to change my spark plugs, i got some autolite ones from walmart and replaced it. when i took out my plugs i noticed the ends were pitched black from oil? but it was really black. what does this indiciate? my question is it anythign serious such as blown head, seals, etc. i dont have any leaks or any black smoke from my exhaust. thanks every1
That's normal for it buddy, that's why you change them. You'll be alright, but you can do a compression test on all 4 cylinders to see how healthy the motor is.
ur first problem is using autolights from WALMART aka hill billy lookin mo ****in place for sheezy my neezy chia! autolights usually go in GM's not hondas... run some oem ngk's straight from jay pan man
i see. would i or should i notice any difference after new spark plugs such as saving more gas? thanks
also, its true i can buy the best spark plugs for my car, or i can buy the best tires, the best radiator, the best battery but i dont want to nor do i have the money for it. especially in times like these, id rather save than spend on the top brand jsut cuz its the best brand. as long as it works im perfectly happy. plus the spark plugs were free so even better

yeah dude. Since you have a b16 the best oem NGK plugs for your coupe will be temp 7 with a few bolt-ons and make sure they are iridium plugs. Oh and make sure they're properly gapped to about 0.46 before you drop'em. Good luck homie

I bought some Autolites about a year and a half ago for my '94 CX. Last week I decided to replace them with some NGK's, and it was a good decision. Autolites are garbage, and they didn't last nearly as long as the NGK's that were in there previously. So they may be a couple bucks more expensive, but they lasted longer.
