Default Fog Light Install

Hey guys,

I just bought an OEM fog light kit from ebay and then am buying just the JDM lights from ebay. I have a 95 accord, and both are for the 94-95. My problem is, I cannot find any clear information on the 94-95 accord install, everyone says the official honda one for the 96-97 ones are completely different. Anyone get JDM or OEM for a 94-95 and could help me please!!! I know the 96-97 uses the main under hood fuse box where apparently the DEPO kit for 94-95 uses the interior kick panel fuse box. Who did what? If someone can help me I am definitely doing a write up for the 94-95 OEM fog lights. Thanks guys!!!

I do know 94-95 install from the back of the bumper and 96-97 are from the front. The DEPOs from eBay should have come with instructions. The wire harness goes along the front bumper and through the firewall (there is a grommet that comes out) and then taps into the interior fuse box. I think it's plug number 3?

I know this is for the 96-97, but should be somewhat similar.

Well I bought a set yesterday that says they are OEM. Here's the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=

I am getting a set of JDM fogs too, just the lights, because finding a set of JDM fog lights and all the wiring and all is such a hassle. Does anyone know if these have the 10 pin connector that you plug into the under hood fuse panel like the 96-97 directions above or if you use the interior fuse panel through the firewall?

This complete kit includes both driver & passenger side clear fog lights, mounting brackets, wiring harnesses, relay, and fog light switch. this oe/jdm style dichronic blue fog light kit will not only add a unique look to your project car, but also will also greatly improve your visibility during harsh weather conditions. this kit comes complete with everything you need to complete a clean installation.
The OEM instructions are not for your foglights. You will have to modify OEM lenses with the knock off harness for it to work, the installs are completely different. The style should have you running a single wire from the front through the fender and into the driver's side. OEM has a bundle of wires that connect to the fuse box then go through a grommet below the TB area.

I'll *guess* the oem style are similar to the DEPO set I had, which was just a blue/black wire with a plug on it - different shape than the OEM.

You can disassemble both however and swap the harnesses - they use the same bulb. So you can have the OEM housing with the DEPO wiring.

Ok so the wiring harness to the lights are just a simple pos and neg, no remote line or any of that bull?

And does the knock off OEM's like these have the piggy back off the running lights like the OEM does? Like that is how you can only get them to turn on when the lights are on?

Correct, just a simple positive negative through a relay.

They will turn on/off however you'd like as long as at least your corners are on. They will not turn on if everything else is off. The OEM fogs only turn on with full headlights and turn off with high beams.

And is the conversion to OEM fog harness pretty easy? Like OEM has the same amount of wires and all? These are the OEM's I am looking at.

Yeah just take off the base plate - 3 screws on each. Then unplug the wiring harness and push the rubber grommet out and swap the rubber grommet/wiring combo from one to the other.

Should take 30 minutes tops

The connector from the fog to the harness is different.

So you remove the connector from the OEM and oem-style and swap them.

Oh ok, whats the easiest way to do that? Cut and solder? And can I use the same mounting bracket from these knock offs and the actual OEM? Like mount the knock offs and once I get these OEM's just pull the light out and wire it in and then put them in with the knock off brackets?
