So My Speedo quit working. I went into Shucks, then to Auto Zone and talked to the Guys behind the counter. They gave me this blank Stare like I was speaking Greek to them. I have the B20B Swap, and the GSR Tranny. I believe that the VSS is located on the lower front part of the Tranny. Anyone ever replaced this? I'm trying to find some know how to fix it.

 

VSS = Vehicle speed sensor.

It's located on the backside of your tranny.. (look behind the starter.. somewhat towards the firewall) it is held in by one 10mm bolt.

For starters.. I would unplug the connector and see if any of the tabs broke off inside the connector due to corrosion, etc.. This could cause the issue your having.. or the VSS could of went bad period.

Are you throwing a CEL?
