first off i have a JDM ITR swap in a 1997 shell with a 1997 usdm p73 ecu. i'm about to pull my hair out with the evap business and was wondering if the GSR solenoid is even compatible with the p73? as it sits i've tried running vacuum to the solenoid, to the TB outlet, tried both ins and outs on the solenoid. it's mounted horizontal if that matters. is the ITR solenoid different than the GSR?

 

I dont know much about how these solenoids are triggered, but I can tell u that the itr solenoid and gsr solenoid are physically different from each other. maybe one is normally open and one is normally closed? they may also just be pinned different from each other, could be as simple as repinning the connector? do u have access to a gsr ecu u can put in to see if the code goes away? if it doesnt go away with the gsr ecu, it may be a loose pin in the connector or a wiring issue.
