Default Chipped ecu question

got a question for those of you who might have any POSITIVE input, i would like some feedback. Currently im running an ls (non vtec) b18 in my integra and i was looking into a chipped ecu from phearable.net. my question is this, with just bolt ons (intake manifold, full exhaust, header, intake, throttle body) would i see any gains with a chipped ecu. is it worth the money? they said 15 whp gains can be seen but i wasn't sure if i wouls see any on such a mild ls. I live in the boondocks where modified hondas and acuras arent exactly welcome so the only place i have to turn for answers is here. it's a daily driver and my money is always tight so i thought 150 for 15 whp sounded good. any info would be awesome. thanks!!

On a mild LS build you probably won't see 15whp, but depending how he makes the chip it could land you some extra hp and mid range torque. Plus, if you do mod it more in the future, you'll already have the chipped ECU to get it tuned with.

trevor>Hondata s200 is an option. So is NepTune, eCtune, or Crome. Look into what your local tuners offer. Having it tuned is the best way to get the full potential out of the setup.

If you get it tuned you can have things like 2-step and VTEC crossover setup. Some of the older Hondata s200 units didn't have 2-step included, because it was an extra. NepTune, late model s200, s300, eCtune, and crome all have it included.

so it would be pointless to have it chipped and tuned if tuning it would provide the same if not better things as having it chipped?

You need to have it chipped to have it tuned.

yeah you gotta have the ecu chipped regardless, hondata, ectune, and chrome are just eprom editors that you use to datalog on your laptop or whatever. thats why i like the what phearable.net has to offer cause as yall said if i wana build it more ill have the capability to have it tuned beyond the basemap that they set. So its definately worth the money regardless right?
