The y8 aint good for boostin only the z6 is...but if you find the z6 piston drop them on ur y8 and ur ready for 5-7 psi. but what i would do is...Put a GSR/Type R throttle body, Some 4-1 Headers, 2.5 cat back. Slotted brakes. Maybe a 95 integra center console, cluster, or seats..idk so much u can do

I would learn to spell english words. z6 is 9.2:1 and a y8 is 9.6:1. Both are going to be lower boost friendly motors if that is your plan.

yep. and the issue with the y8 isn't the pistons. the d16y engines have oiling issues and it is much more common for them to spin rod bearings.

There used to be a guy here that had a cheap Ebay turbo manifold, T25 from DSM with no intercooler. He fabbed a hose that went from the turbo straight to the throttle body. He had a Vortech FMU for fuel control and thats it. He ran 14.20's all day.

This was on a d16Y8 @6psi

My JDM ITR swap wont beat that by much!!
