obd1 with an obd2 distributor?
FACTS:
- 1990 CRX DX
- harness was converted to MPFI and b series hookups.
- 2001 OBD2 B18C1 Swap
- Original CRX DX engine harness was converted to OBD1 B series
- The ECU i'm using is a chipped P06 running a P72 basemap for the record.
I hooked everything up and tried to fire the car, it cranks but wont fire. The motor ran perfectly when it was yanked from the 01 GSR.
Motor has fuel flowing.
The distributor is OBD2 it came with the 01 GSR swap that is currently in the car. I cut the dizzy plugs off of a OBD1 distributor and soldered them color-matched the wires onto the OBD2 dizzy. Could this be causing part of the problem or is the wiring correct?
does anyone have a wiring diagram for an obd1 dizzy and an obd2 dizzy?
Also, since they are obd2 injectors, do i need to hook up an injector resistor box?

when you wire matched it up is their 2 white wires. I know i had a customer that whiched these wires. This was for a zc swap. Have you checked for spark. How long was the motor pulled and stored.
motor was pulled and sat for about a week or 2.
i looked at the dizzy plugs and the wire colors of the plugs on the dizzy side dont match up with the plugs on the harness side.
i took the pins out and have rearranged them so that the colors match up. ill try switching around the white wires to see what happens.
even if i get it right though, will the obd2 dizzy work with an obd1 ecu?
i know you cannot use an obd0 dizzy with an obd1 ecu because the pulses are different. im starting to think this si the same deal when trying to use an obd2 dizzy.
