i just recently bought a pair of "authentic JDM type r headlights for my 02 ep3. When i received them in the mail instead of having the infamous smoked housing, they instead had the shitty chrome housing. (these are not depo's by the way) They look exactly like my stock usdm lights. I then contacted the seller who is out of hong kong, and he told me that there are 2 models of type r lights, one with smoked housing, one with chrome. I dont beleive this to be true, could anyone help me out and tell me what they think. And if this is not true does anyone know how to prove that they dont have chrome type r lights.

Damn what a rip off. As far as I know, they only come in the black housing for the CTR.

 

I know the JDM type R Headlights do have the black housing but what about the Euro version?

Contact someone at icb or some other websites that deal directly with japan, they may be able to clear this up for u

 

ctr's and itr's (dc5) they come smoked/gunmental chrome housing. that is wat iv known type r headlights to be.

I know they come in smoked housing, but not sure about chrome. When i look at ctr pics on google, its hard to tell if theyre smoked or not.

Your best bet, take some pics, post it, and we can get a group consensus

JDM ep3 doest'nt have black houssing but a little darken chrome houssing.

When you see black houssing on a ep3, they have painted them.
