That was an 8.86@154! It's a single turbo, single cam sbc (haha)! Yes it is a blowthrough carb and NO it was never green, it's been black from the beginning! Thanks for the interest guys (and girls)!!!

 

Looks/ sounds sweet. Good job.

 

This car will definitely be a contender at the local 10.5 races. Some minor changes where made that should make this car fly.

And Lamar....You must be bored!!!! LOL

It almost seems like the V8 engine sound was dubbed in. The Civic body and american muscle are an odd combination to me.

None the less, very impressive.

ToyotaTurbo, what up lil' bro! You're right, it "wuzzz" an 8 sec car!
We line up cars like that so we know when we're within inches of the prestage light, so we know to bring up the rpm's,boost,etc. as we stage. In a race the autostart timer is on so if you prestage then bring up the rpm's the tree could start if you aren't ready or DQ you if you don't stage quick enough! You're probably saying that wasn't a race it was a test pass! WE practice the same way we race.

I remember when Lamar first started building this car in his garage in Bel Air. Its come a long way. Thing is badass! I have the Green hatch with the B18C5 from years ago. I think I saw Lamar driving a GMC dually the other day with the tractor wheels on it? Anyway, car is coming along real nice man. Tha setup was in a Blazer the last time I saw it. Or he had a SBC in a Blazer at least. Good Luck with it, Getz

 

not bad! gotta love a boosted sbc, but i would prefer to see and import with an import engine myself running that time. but for the cheap and dirty power a boosted sbc is the way to go.
