Default 100mm Throttle body

I'm in search of a strong and reliable 100mm throttle body. All I've found so far is the Veilside, Hypertune, and Top secret TB's in the Supra and Skyline world, along with some what look to be sketchy Mustang versions.

Any other versions out there that are mainstream/reliable for drag?

Is something like a 90mm Nissan Q45 TB not big enough, or reliable enough? I've always wondered why someone would need a TB larger than their pistons, is 100mm absolutely required?

for a Honda, a 100mm isn't needed at all unless you've bore matched a custom intake manifold for that. If you can afford to do that with a full drag car, then you can afford the Veilside, Top Secret, and Hypertune models. Or, check with Kinsler or another American Drag racing specialist company.

The project is fully port matched.... Full CNC head and IM.... $$ isn't the issue , just looking for options... looks like the F105MAXw/ clamp and ferrule from Accufab is what I'm after.

Precision Turbo sells Wilson throttle bodys (we have been using the 105mm since 2004/2005 with great results.) i belive they are under 300 bucks.

the wilsons are so damn nice looking. accufab are also nice looking pieces. and i thought my 76mm blox unit was "overkill" lol...but whatever works i guess. my vote goes for the wilson. ive seen them up close on ls1s and such. they look very nice and the people who run them like them. like dave said above.

This is a noob question I'm sure, but when is it nessasary to upgrade the throttle body, and is there a "to big"? (Kinda like charge pipes that are to big)

Well the only time I would go with a 100mm is if I went with a 4" charge pipe. There are a few SFWD based cars out there with these big TB.

I would say if you have the money and time to possibly do a back to back dyno test then we can all see if there is a difference.

i cant remember where i found it, but for charge pipe diameter and tb diameter the big thing is keeping it under a cirtian mach of airflow for the required cfm needed. i'll search.
