I just did a conversion on my EJ1 and I was wondering if anyone knew how to cover the hole left behind by the auto? I was hoping to find a rubber seal or a piece of metal I could bolt down to cover the hole.
I'd prefer not to do any welding, something I could bolt on myself would be ideal.

Just a quickie thought...
Go to home depot in the HVAC section and buy a piece of sheetmetal, then cut it to size. Attach it by either drilling holes and using nuts/bolts to secure it or glue it down with weatherstripping glue, then go on the bottom of the car and spray some rubberized undercoating to protect moisture from seeping in, then cover the top with your center console.
