How much power were you making on the kit b4 blowing the motor?

 

i blew my motor with the greddy kit. i was planning on swapping out the greddy with this kit before i blew it. so i never used it. i bought it off a member on this site, i think his name was reboot. believe he said he made over 300whp easy.

the hondata i bought separately off someone on this site also,never used it, i think it was nightridergsr or something like that, obd1

How do you blow a motor on a greddy kit? It's pretty conservative.

 

i had a cracked hose that was leaking coolant. i also never had problems with the car til i let a friend borrow it for a few weeks.

well motor was still running, just low compression in one cylinder, and upon removal my friend found cracked pistons

Not to bag on your friend.
But I dislike lending cars to certain people. That's why I don't do it.
You just don't know if they beat on your baby.
When I test drive friend's cars,,, I'll be like,,,, "I'm going to take it to redline ok?" then I do it.

 

i dont really mind letting them beat on it, because i rarely ever do. but its just too coincidental that i never had a problem in 1 1/2 years of being turbo until they borrow it.

dont forget the turbo kit has a 3" exhaust, whole setup bolts onto GSR perfectly.
