recently i had to disassemble my steering wheel and before that my high beams worked fine and after that they no longer do unless i hold the switch back. it clicks like it is working but the second you let go it goes back to the normal. low beam never flicker or dim and stay on the whole time while holding the switch back. ordered a new switch and it should be here in a week.

question is it possible it could be something else?

 

I doubt its a coincidence that ur high beams switch just happened to quit working after you disassembled your steering wheel. I'm going to say that something didnt get put back together right, like a clip or something small that holds it in when you click the HB on.

 

that's pretty much what i figured too but never hurts to get a second opinion

 

yep replaced it this weekend and its fixed. I'm just trying to figure out how the heck it got messed up. oh well got a brand new one on eBay for only $12.5 shipped. can't complain too much, only took a couple minutes to replace
