Default 88 harness in 90?

I got a 1990 dx and a 1988 dx, i had taken out both body harnesses and realized some difference but that was months ago and i cant remember what was different.
i called a shop when i saw some different plugs and the guy told me the some **** was different but i dont remember what

right now i got a 1989 crx si, and a 1990 civic dx, i was wondering if i can use the whole wiring harness from the crx in the civic?

id be using the body harness and the engine harness, and the heater box and push button climate control

i tried searching but came up with nothing, either due to lack of information, or maybe i was using bad keywords

TIA

i don't see why it wouldn't work... you would obviously still need to keep the civic wiring that goes to the rear of the car, but it should be a go.

the cluster wiring is different. be ready to de-pin ****.

im sure there are more things that are different as well.

safe yourself hours of troubleshooting and just stick with 90-91 wiring.

the cluster wiring is diff. but i think all that goes to the fuse box. so if the fuse boxes are all similar it should be ok if not then just swap the fuse box.

alright cool, i remember there was some difference but seeing i'll be using everythin it might work

the story:
i came across a cheap 89 crx with a obd1 d16z6 swap
and i got a 90 civic dx thats getting a b18

so i was thinkin of swaping the harnesses and using it for my 90..

but i might just buy another ef with blown/no drive train and swap everything from the front half of the crx into the ef
or if i find out it will work 100% in a 90 i might swap it into my buddys 91 which i will eventually own anyways
