i hope you dont plan on relying on it for your a/f ratio, it's horribly inaccurate.

i dont see why people talk down so much on the a/f guages. what do you expect for $60? if you want something totally accurate, of course you go with one that has an 02 sensor of its own... which usually runs 2-3 times more at the least. for what the a/f guage does... its not bad. it gives you an idea.. not an accurate reading.

I have an a/f gauge, and it bounces for lean to rich all the time. the book says it supposed to because the ecu is remapping the fuel system for optimal performance and gas mileage. but ive also heard its not supposed to do it from a proffesional vette shop. the gauge bounces CONSTANTLY, whos right?

Which is a better place to hook up the A/F meter? the wire on O2 or wire on ECU?

Yeah, I used to have a Autometer A/F gauge. My conclusion is that it's garbage. No matter how much I messed w/ my V-AFC fuel map, it still bounced all over except for WOT, where it would be sorta rich, but not all the way in the Green.

Autometer A/F ratio gauge gets:

its not the guages fault, blame the o2 sensor

yup.. definitely the o2 sensor. the guage just reads off the o2 sensor. it bounces like that... but if you punch the gas... it stays constant at WOT.
