If i am correct the DX has rear drum brakes, my thoughts would be either the wheel cylinder locked up or they are adjusted way to tight, but if it just happened suddenly i would check the wheel cylinders first. Have you done anything to the brakes at all recently. Any way you may have contaminated the brake fluid? a blockage in a brake line is a possibility to however a lot less likely.

Yeah, you need to get the drums off and find out what the hell's wrong back there. Is there fluid everywhere? Springs broken? Get in there and let us know

frozen e-brake cable could cause it also.

i checked it out best to my knowledge and i couldnt find anything so i took it to a shop. they said it was the hub bearing and seems like they were charging a hefty price(est. $500) to fix it. so now my question is would this be something easily to fix or do?

Probably only a half hour job to change a rear wheel bearing. Part is probably around 50.00.

Yo, i know its fun sometimes to bash people but lay off. The guy is asking for help and he said the estimated price is 500 bucks, not that he spent 500 bucks to have it done. Plus it was a second opinion after he said he already looked at it. You have to remember that not everyone around here is a wiz in the shop man, and all because you didnt have a problem doesnt mean that other people are that fortunate.

Now if someone has the info, because i dont have the manual right infront of me. the front wheel bearings are pressed in but are the rear ones bolted in? I cant remember. if its bolted in then thats a piece of cake to fix. Just let us know what you plan to do there is always gonna be someone on this site that can help you and like noodler said you can always go rear disc Good luck.

quoterobably only a half hour job to change a rear wheel bearing. Part is probably around 50.00.

part is about $115 from the dealer. part# 42200-SB2-025

the rear hubs have a nut that you remove similar to the axle nut. the hub/bearing are one piece
