what are the best cams for my set up
Depends on many things!!!
How far do you plan on going w/the motor build in the future? What kind of tuning will you get for it? etc. . . .
I say Crower and/or Skunk Stage 2 for NA application, just my opinion! If your not looking for insane power (anything over 200+) you can't go wrong w/ITR/CTR cams!
Best of luck!
PS- If your thinking about cams, don't forget to think about valvetrain!

this or ITR/CTR
the other suggestions about stage 2s seem to forget you're at 10:1 compression. those cams will feel soggy until you get at or over 11:1
the ITR cams would be the cheapest since your tuning would be stupid easy. you just run a p73 map, check it on the wideband and adjust fuel pressure to fine tune it.

i have a stock us GSR at 10.4 compression and my skunk2 stage1s are far superior to an itr/ctr cam set up in powerband and acceleration. and unless he has a skunk2/blox IM running a p73 map would not be advisable.
i agree. this is the order of aggressiveness with the following cams gsr-itr-ctr-skunk2 stage 1. i would recommend the skunk2 stage 1s

and maybe even bigger injectors and stuff i just dont really want to tear into the bottom end at least not right now
i got a suggestion on here once to start with the bottom and work you way up. Especially if you are going to build it anyway. I thought it was a very good suggestion, that way you won't have to change things later. You can buy a set of cam for the motor that you are building. If you get the cams first and then go changing the bottom you might wind up needing a new set. just something to think about. I know it it much more complicated to start with the bottom too, but in the end you'll be happier that you did.
