I have a 92 Accord that will start and idle fine... a few minutes later it just wants to shut off whether I'm driving or just sitting. I just went out to try to get it started and it wants to turn over just won't. Was thinking it had something to do with compression? I have no idea.

 

check for clogged egr port in you intake manifold, and the egr valve itself might have to much carbon build up

 

wants to turn over just won't = = Do you mean that the starter spins the engine, but it won't catch and start and run?

When it dies, do the gauges lights go dark?

Post more info if you can.

 

The started spins the engine just wont run. I finally got it started, let it idle for a while, and a few minutes later the rpm's just dropped and it wanted to stall. I tried saving it by pumping the gas but it just died anyway.
