ef hatch pr windows
in order to do it, make sure you get the factory switches so that they look nice.
all you need to do is take out the whole window jack-type mechanism, and bolt in the new one.
as for wiring... ground and a 12v source.
your biggest problem is going to be getting the switches, converting them to LHD, and getting the wires through the grommet and into the chassis.
as far as the grommet goes, make sure you take out the door pin so that the door opens further. it just makes life easier.
that is all i can really say. i dont think a writeup has been done, due to the simplicity, or that there are not a lot of power window conversions. I plan on doing it soon though.

ok well mainly i just wanted to know what i need to do it. is there an aftermarket kit? can i use the stuff off a 4 door? **** like that is what i need to know. as far as acctually doing it i can figure that **** out.
okay. well, you can buy the kit off of ebay.
there is the JDM power windows and mirrors kits. they come with everything you would need... but they are like $500 CAD including shipping. includes the switches, relays, and wiring harnesses as well.
as far as sedan ones go... you might be able to, try it, they are not that much money to buy. tell me how they go, i might end up travelling down that path.

Why dont you just get doors for your hatch with all of it already in there? Isn't that going to be a bitch to get the motor in the door? I'm just curious cuz I wanna do that too.

I'd forget about door-mounted switches, just mount some in the center arm rest/ebrake console. I would imagine the 4dr EX/LX power window parts would almost bolt right in.
