Default Greddy RS BOV help

Car-1995 Civic EX
Motor- d16z6
14b turbo, 450cc injectors, 10 psi. tuned on CromePRO

Trying to determine whether i have a defect blow off valve or not. Car had a stock 1g DSM blow off valve on it. Today i switched front mounts and intercooler piping from my old race car, which i had just bought a greddy rs (genuine not ebay junker) BOV for. I only drove the car for about 20 feet with the blow off valve so it is practically new, and was never even adjusted. Now, once i put it on my coupe, i can not get the son of a bitch to quit compressor surging, even at the full 10 psi it surges, right now i have it adjusted stiff to the point that the allen head is completely flush with the lock nut, and that has the closest it's been to being correct. Anyone else had this issue with these? I may have a VERY small boost leak, deffinetely not enough to cause this problem, and it holds steady at 10 psi full throttle and also builds boost normally.

Thanks

why did you adjust it so its stiffer? you would want to go the other way, less tension on the valve. try removing one of the springs inside.

Try taking one of the spring out. That is what I did when I ran my cousin greddy rs. With two spring in the bov I was getting mad compressor surge. Took the bigger spring out and it was a lot better.

thanks guys, i had no idea they came with 2 springs inside honestly. i took the BOV off today and pushed on the actual valve and it was stuck, i pushed it harder and it freed up so i lubricated it and now it works fine, i guess from sitting it just froze up but who would ever think something that simple, especially when its me working on it because it's like murphy's law with me and my car haha
